OMS featured at MS Trust Conference Monday 14th November 2011 Kenilworth UK
14th November 2011
PDF File DownloadThough the OMS approach is well established in Australia and New Zealand, and often now recommended to people with MS, there is little awareness of the approach in the UK. Our aim is to introduce OMS to health practitioners in the UK so they will be able to pass the information onto the people with MS they see.
The OMS stand will give out copies of the OMS book to MS nurses, hand out pamphlets describing and promoting OMS, show copies of the 1 and 2.5 year follow up data research paper published in the UK journal Quality in Primary Care in 2010, give out small laminated copies of the OMS recovery program summary, show the ABC TV's 7.30 report on Prof Jelinek's research data, and have people with MS answering questions.
This is sure to be an important opportunity for OMS to be better known among health professionals and people with MS in the UK. You will find a copy of the leaflet we will be giving out in downloadable pdf format above.
